Rai Benjamin (born July 27, 1997) is an American professional hurdler and sprinter specializing in the 400 m and 400 m hurdles. He is the second fastest man in history in the 400 m hurdles with a personal best time of 46.17 s.

2 de ago. de 2021 · The highly-anticipated Olympics men’s 400-meter hurdles was nothing short of extraordinary Tuesday at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 as Norway’s Karsten Warholm became the first man under 46 seconds. Team USA’s Rai Benjamin broke the existing world record by half a second and yet had to be satisfied with silver.
Just behind him is US hurdler Rai Benjamin, whose own time of 46.17 in the Olympic final would have been enough to become the world record holder had the Norwegian not been in the race. In third place is Brazil’s Alison dos Santos (46.29) who pipped Benjamin to the world title in Hayward Field, Oregon in July 2022.
