James Paul Moody (21 August 1887 – 15 April 1912) was a British sailor, who served as Titanic 's sixth officer. He died when the ship sank on her maiden voyage.

James Moody was Sixth Officer on the Titanic a position which earned him around $37.00 per month. He stood the 8-12 (a.m. and p.m.) watches, as well as the first Dog Watch, that of 4-5 p.m. Moody was on watch on the bridge when the Titanic struck the iceberg.
