Lambchop was formed in Nashville in 1986 and has since released over a dozen critically acclaimed albums on City Slang and Merge Records. Over the years, they have evolved their sound, incorporating elements of soul, jazz, and country into their music.
Initially formed as a three piece in 1986 with Kurt Wagner, bassist Marc Trivillion and guitarist Jim Watkins with the name Posterchild.
