Hideaki Ishi (石 英明, Ishi Hideaki, born July 29, 1962), better known by his stage name DJ Krush, is a Japanese record producer and DJ. He is known for his atmospheric instrumental production which incorporates sound elements from nature, and extensive use of jazz and soul samples.

19 de jun. de 2022 · We take a look at the path he took to become a worldwide DJ and sound creator. Part.1. 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of DJ Krush’s solo career. Active in the Tokyo underground scene since the dawn of Japanese hip-hop, DJ Krush eventually made it onto the world stage.
DJ KRUSH became a hip-hop DJ in the early 1980s after being inspired by the movie, Wild Style. Later in the 1980s, he formed the hip-hop crew, B-FRESH3, and performed alongside break dancers on Harajuku, Tokyo’s pedestrian-only street. There, he met MURO and DJ GO and formed the KRUSH POSSE.
