Paul Schütze (born 1 May 1958) is an Australian artist resident in London. Over thirty years his work has spanned composition, performance, installation, video, printmaking and photography.

Paul Schütze. Multi-instrumental sound explorer, experimentalist, composer, born in 1 May 1958 in Melbourne. He featured in the Australian experimental industrial band Laughing Hands circa 1979 to '82 before embarking on a solo career.
biography - Paul Schütze has worked for forty years as an artist in the fields of, sound, photography, video, and installation. He was a founding member of Australian experimental band Laughing Hands and of Phantom City: an international collective of musicians working both live and virtually from points across the globe.
Paul Schütze is regarded as a leading light in the fast‑spreading New Electronic music scene, which encompasses ambient, post‑techno, classical avant‑garde, experimental jazz and world music. A 37‑year old Australian, currently living in London, he's an occasional contributor to influential jazz journal The Wire.
