Hugh Desmond Hoyte (9 March 1929 – 22 December 2002) was a Guyanese politician who served as Prime Minister of Guyana from 1984 to 1985 and President of Guyana from 1985 until 1992.
Hugh Desmond Hoyte fue un médico y político guyanés que fungió como tercer presidente de al República Cooperativa de Guyana entre 1985 y 1992. Como último primer ministro del gobierno de Forbes Burnham desde 1984, Hoyte asumió la presidencia tras su muerte en agosto de 1985.
