Reşid Mehmed Pasha, also known as Kütahı ( Greek: Μεχμέτ Ρεσίτ πασάς Κιουταχής, 1780 [citation needed] –1836), was an Ottoman statesman and general who reached the post of Grand Vizier in the first half of the 19th century, playing an important role in the Greek War of Independence. [1] Early life.
Mehmet Rechid Pasha (1780-1839), conocido como Kioutachis, fue un general otomano y gran visir. Nació en Georgia en una familia ortodoxa; secuestrado por los turcos en su infancia entró al servicio de la administración otomana. Fue nombrado Pasha de Kütahya a la edad de 29 años, de ahí su apodo.
