George Nugent-Temple-Grenville, 1st Marquess of Buckingham, KG, KP, PC (17 June 1753 – 11 February 1813), known as George Grenville before 1779 and as The Earl Temple between 1779 and 1784, was a British statesman.
George Nugent Temple Grenville, 1st marquess of Buckingham (born June 17, 1753—died Feb. 11, 1813, Stowe House, Buckinghamshire, Eng.) was George Grenville’s second son, created (1784) the marquess of Buckingham (the town). He made his mark as lord lieutenant of Ireland.

The second creation came in 1784, when George Nugent-Temple-Grenville, 3rd Earl Temple was made Marquess of Buckingham in the Peerage of Great Britain. However, on his grandson's death in 1889 without male issue, the marquessate of Buckingham became extinct. Marquesses of Buckingham (1618)
