  3. 23 de dic. de 2023 · The title Lord Avondale was revived for Andrew Stewart of Avondale in about 1499. He died in 1513 (killed at the Battle of Flodden) and was succeeded by his son Andrew, who exchanged Avondale for Ochiltree and thus became first Lord Ochiltree.

  4. 4 de abr. de 2023 · In 1542 Andrew Stewart, 2nd Lord Avondale (see the Earl Castle Stewart for earlier history of the family) exchanged the lordship of Avondale with Sir James Hamilton for the lordship of Ochiltrie and by Act of Parliament was ordained to be styled Lord Stuart of Ochiltrie.

  6. Andrew Stewart, 1st Lord Avondale (died 9 September 1513) was a Scottish nobleman. He was the son of Alexander Stewart, from whom he inherited the lands of Avondale.

  7. The eldest son of Lord Avondale (killed 1513), Andrew Stewart, 2nd Lord Avondale, exchanged the Lordship of Avondale with Sir James Hamilton for that of Ochiltree (see the Lord Ochiltree for further history of this title) by an Act of Parliament in 1542, becoming Lord Stuart of Ochiltree.
