Citations. Sources. Further reading. Thomas Butler, 10th Earl of Ormond and 3rd Earl of Ossory KG PC (Ire) ( Irish: Tomás Dubh de Buitléir, Iarla Urmhamhan; c. 1531 – 1614), was an influential courtier in London at the court of Elizabeth I. He was Lord Treasurer of Ireland from 1559 to his death.
Thomas Butler, 7th Earl of Ormond PC (1426 – 3 August 1515) was the youngest son of James Butler, 4th Earl of Ormond. He was attainted , but restored by Henry VII 's first Parliament in November 1485, and the statutes made at Westminster, by Edward IV , which declared him and his brothers traitors, were abrogated.

Butler, Thomas ( c. 1424–1515), 7th earl of Ormond , was third son of James (qv), 4th earl of Ormond, and his first wife, Joan, daughter of William Beauchamp, Lord Abergavenny. Though born in Ireland he spent virtually his entire life in England.
