Bāyazīd I (en turco otomano: بايزيد; turco moderno: Yıldırım Bayezid ), llamado Yıldırım («el Rayo»), conocido en Occidente como Bayaceto ( Bursa, 1354- Aksehir, 9 de marzo de 1403) fue un sultán otomano de 1389 a 1402. Se considera como uno de los primeros grandes sultanes del Imperio otomano.

Bayezid I (often given the epithet Yıldırım, "the Thunderbolt") succeeded to the sultanship upon the assassination of his father Murad during the battle of Kosovo. In a rage over the attack, he ordered all Serbian captives killed; Beyazid became known as Yıldırım, the lightning bolt, for the speed with which his empire expanded.
Ottoman. Beyazid I. Bayezid was born in Edirne in 1360. His father was Murad I and his mother was Gulcicek Sultana. Bayezid had a round face, light complexion, ram nose, hazel eyes, blond hair, thick beard and large shoulders. Because of his bravery, he was called as "Yildirim" (thunderbolt).
