Taddeo Barberini fue un noble italiano de la familia de los Barberini que fue príncipe de Palestrina; confaloniero de la Iglesia y Capitán General de la Iglesia. Era sobrino del Papa Urbano VIII y hermano de los cardenales Francesco Barberini y Antonio Barberini.
Después de la muerte de Urbano en 1644, su sucesor el nuevo papa Inocencio X hostigó a la familia, así Taddeo tuvo que huir a París, donde murió en 1647. Con él se extinguió la línea masculina de los Barberini.

He made another brother Duke of Monterotondo, and gave a third nephew, Taddeo Barberini, the principality of Palestrina. Taddeo was also made Gonfalonier of the Church , Prefect of Rome and Commander of Sant'Angelo .

In the summer of 1642 papal forces commanded by Taddeo and Antonio Barberini skirmished in-effectively with the Duke of Parma. Household silver was con-fiscated and melted down in the summer of 1642. The wits said that Rome was already sacked.
