Biografía de August Ferdinand Möbius. Hijo único de Johann Heinrich Möbius, un profesor de danzas, y de Johanne Keil, descendiente de Martin Lutero; Ferdinand Möbius nació en Schulpforta (Sajonia, Alemania) 17 de noviembre de 1790. El futuro matemático tenía sólo tres años cuando su padre murió.
