Michael Richard Daniell Foot, CBE, TD (14 December 1919 – 18 February 2012) was a British political and military historian, and former British Army intelligence officer with the Special Operations Executive during the Second World War.

About the author (2014) M.R.D. FOOT was an army officer throughout the 1939-45 war, and received the French Croix de Guerre for work with the SAS in Britanny.
