Ernst Klink (5 December 1923 – 1993) was a German military historian who specialised in Nazi Germany and World War II. He was a long-term employee at the Military History Research Office (MGFA).
Ernst Klink (* 5. Dezember 1923 in Dietenhausen/Baden; † 1993) war ein deutscher Historiker. Nachdem er 1957 bei Hans Rothfels in Geschichte promoviert worden war, arbeitete er ab 1958 am Militärgeschichtlichen Forschungsamt (MGFA) der Bundeswehr in Freiburg im Breisgau.

The author, Ernst Klink, based his research mainly on the war diaries of the German armies involved in the operation, which had been returned by the Americans shortly before. For decades, Klink’s work remained the only comprehensive academic German study on the Battle of Kursk.
