Der Landkreis Zwickau ist ein Landkreis im Westen von Sachsen. Er entstand am 1. August 2008 durch den Zusammenschluss der Landkreise Chemnitzer Land, Zwickauer Land und der kreisfreien Stadt Zwickau. Er ist der flächenmäßig kleinste Kreis im Freistaat und hat die höchste Einwohnerdichte aller Landkreise der neuen Bundesländer.
