Magdalena Augusta war eine Tochter des Fürsten Karl Wilhelm von Anhalt-Zerbst (1652–1718) aus dessen Ehe mit Sophie (1654–1724), Tochter des Herzogs August von Sachsen-Weißenfels. Am 17.
