Elizabeth Hammond. Margery Golding, Countess of Oxford (c. 1526 – 2 December 1568) was the second wife of John de Vere, 16th Earl of Oxford, the mother of Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford, and the half-sister of Arthur Golding, the English translator.
Margery Golding was lady in waiting to the Queen from 1559 to 1561 and entertained Queen Elizabeth at Castle Hedingham, Essex from 14 till 19 Aug 1561. He married firstly Dorothy Neville, daughter of Ralph Neville, 4th Earl of Westmorland in Holywell, Shoreditch, London on 3 July 1536, secondly and bigamiously Joan Jockey of Earls Colne at White Colne Church, and thirdly, Margery Golding in Belchamp St Paul on 1 August 1548.

Mary de Vere ( c. 1554 – 24 June 1624) was a 16th-century English noblewoman. The daughter of John de Vere, 16th Earl of Oxford, and his second wife Margery Golding, she married Peregrine Bertie, 13th Baron Willoughby de Eresby. The couple lived with their seven children in Grimsthorpe Castle in Lincolnshire.
