La música del mundo o world music, también llamada música world, música universal, música global o música mundial, es un conjunto de géneros musicales contemporáneos que abarca toda aquella música folclórica y popular característica de algunas zonas o culturas del mundo que despierta interés fuera de sus lugares de origen.
El término World Music (en español, músicas del mundo) hace referencia a la etiqueta comercial creada a finales de los años 80 que engloba un amplio elenco de géneros musicales, tanto tradicionales como no tradicionales, de todas partes del mundo.
