La provincia de Panamá está situada en la costa del océano Pacífico, en la ribera este del Canal de Panamá. Se caracteriza por sus tierras bajas, si bien al noreste la bordea la cordillera de San Blas , ubicándose allí los lugares más altos de la provincia, el cerro Jefe (1007 m).
