Taksony (German: Taks) is a town of roughly 6,000 inhabitants roughly 23 kilometers south of Budapest, on the bank of the Ráckeve branch of the Danube known as Kisduna (Little Danube). Taksony is known for its many natural springs and tranquil scenery and serves as a haven for fishermen, boaters and summer vacationers.

Taksony ([ˈtɒkʃoɲ], also Taxis or Tocsun; before or around 931 – early 970s) was the Grand Prince of the Hungarians after their catastrophic defeat in the 955 Battle of Lechfeld. In his youth he had participated in plundering raids in Western Europe, but during his reign the Hungarians only targeted the Byzantine Empire .
Taxón (en húngaro: Taksony) (c. 931-972) fue Príncipe húngaro (955-972), hijo de Zolta, nieto del Gran Príncipe Árpad. Taxón en su juventud, y antes de tener el mando del principado húngaro, lideró en 947 un ataque contra Berengario II de Italia y cobró impuestos del reino de Italia para los húngaros.

Taksony. Géza ( c. 940 – 997), also Gejza, was Grand Prince of the Hungarians from the early 970s. He was the son of Grand Prince Taksony and his Oriental— Khazar, Pecheneg or Volga Bulgarian —wife. He married Sarolt, a daughter of an Eastern Orthodox Hungarian chieftain.
