Vaud (/ v oʊ / VOH; French: (Canton de) Vaud, pronounced [kɑ̃tɔ̃ də vo]) more formally the canton of Vaud, is one of the 26 cantons forming the Swiss Confederation. It is composed of ten districts, and its capital city is Lausanne .
