William Seymour, 3rd Duke of Somerset (17 April 1652 – 12 December 1671) was the son of Henry Seymour, Lord Beauchamp, and Mary Capell. As both his father and two elder uncles had predeceased him, he succeeded to the dukedom on the death of his grandfather William Seymour .

His grandson, William Seymour, 3rd Duke of Somerset (1652–1671) inherited at the age of 8 and died aged 19 when his heir became his uncle John Seymour, 4th Duke of Somerset (1629–1675).

He succeeded his grandfather William, who, on the 25th of April, 1660, was restored to the title of duke of Somerset, forfeited by the attainder of his great-grandfather, in the reign of Edward VI.
