Declan Kearney (born 19 December 1964) is an Irish republican politician in Northern Ireland who is the current National Chairman of Sinn Féin. Kearney was a Junior Minister in the Northern Ireland Executive from 2020 to 2022, and a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for South Antrim since 2016 .

Declan has been active in republican politics since 1980, and is a former Sinn Féin County Antrim organiser. He has been a key member of Sinn Féin’s national leadership since 2003, and has previously served as the Party’s northern Chairperson and deputy General Secretary.
He is a fluent Gaeilgeoir and contin– ues to support the promotion of Gaeilge throughout South Antrim. Active in republican politics since 1980, Declan was first elected to represent the people of South Antrim in May 2016 when he succeeded Mitchel McLaughlin as Sinn Féin MLA.
