Tony Randall was an American actor and comedian. He and Red Barclay are the only two persons who ate a Sir Loin-A-Lot steak successfully. When Homer saw the photo of Tony Randall on the wall at The Slaughterhouse, he confused Randall with Red Barclay.
In the end, Red wins and keeps his title of champion (he was the only person other than Tony Randall to succeed in eating the steak in one hour), but suddenly dies of beef poisoning. Homer takes over his job, since he still has one more delivery to make (artichokes and migrant workers).
Red Barclay estaba en la sala de la fama del matadero junto a Tony Randall. La mercancía que llevaba en el camión eran alcachofas y trabajadores inmigrantes. Su camión era un ford aeromax de color rojo y se conducía solo gracias a una estafa del sindicato de camioneros.
24 de may. de 2023 · Red Barclay was a guy who Homer met at The Slaughterhouse. Barclay had suffered a heart attack whilst in a competition with Homer to see who could eat a large steak fastest. He had notably driven a red custom truck which was passed on to Homer to complete his schedule.
The decal on Homer's truck reads "Red Rascal" with an image of a wolf and a redheaded pin-up girl on the side, a possible reference to the 1943 Tex Avery cartoon "Red Hot Riding Hood". In the steak restaurant, a photo of actor and comedian Tony Randall can be seen next to Barclay's photo.
