Joinville (prononcé [ʒwɛ̃.ˈvil] ), appelée également Joinville-en-Vallage ou encore Joinville en Champagne, est une commune française située dans le département de la Haute-Marne, en région Grand Est . La commune est labellisée « Village étape » depuis 2014 et « Petite cité de caractère » depuis 2015. Ses habitants sont appelés les Joinvillois .
Jean de Joinville (French pronunciation: [ʒɑ̃ də ʒwɛ̃vil], 1 May 1224 – 24 December 1317) was one of the great chroniclers of medieval France. He is most famous for writing the Life of Saint Louis, a biography of Louis IX of France that chronicled the Seventh Crusade.
It is the largest city in Santa Catarina. About 550,000 people live in the city, and about 1.3 million people live in the surrounding metropolitan area. Most of the people are of German, Swiss and Norwegian descent. It is the third largest city in the southern region of Brazil.
