Welcome to the Meissen Porcelain Museum, the publicly accessible part of the extensive collection of the Meissen Porcelain Foundation. From around 34,000 historic porcelains, a selection of 2,000 porcelain objects and over 300 years of porcelain history await you on two floors.
Meissen porcelain, German hard-paste, or true, porcelain produced at the Meissen factory, near Dresden in Saxony (now Germany), from 1710 until the present day. It was the first successfully produced true porcelain in Europe and dominated the style of European porcelain manufactured until about 1756.

Since its founding in 1710, the Meissen porcelain manufactory has stood for the highest-quality porcelain and the utmost workmanship. Charting new territory in the creation of innovative porcelain objects is as much a part of the manufactory’s tradition as the observation of its own rich heritage.
