Historia. Zamość fue fundada en el año 1580 por el Canciller y Hetman (jefe del ejército de la República de las Dos Naciones (formada por Polonia y Lituania) Juan Zamoyski, en la ruta comercial que unía Europa del Oeste y del Norte con el Mar negro.

Old City (Zamość) Coordinates: 50°43′N 23°16′E. The osiedle Old City ( Polish: Osiedle Stare Miasto) is the oldest historic district of the city of Zamość. It is one of World Heritage Sites in Poland (added in 1992).
