Ohio History Central is maintained by the Ohio History Connection as a reference source for and about the people of Ohio. It covers topics related to the history, ancient peoples, archaeology, and natural history of Ohio through encyclopedia-style entries.
Ohio History Central consists of over 3,000 entries about Ohio's natural history, prehistory, and history. The entries are complemented by nearly 2,000 images. The site is fully searchable, and users may browse entries by category, topic, media, time period, or geographic region within the state.
The Ohio History Center is located at 800 E 17th Ave, Columbus, OH, 43211, at the intersection of I-71 & 17th Avenue (Exit 111). Operating Hours. Wednesday–Sunday • 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Ohio Village, our recreated 19th-century community, is included during admission starting on Opening Day Saturday, May 25, 2024!
