After missing the entire 2022 season due to an ACL injury, Gorden went on to return and play every minute of the 2023 regular season and became an Iron Woman for the second time in her career in the teams run to their first playoffs appearance and was also named in the NWSL Best XI at the conclusion of the season.

A switch to Angel City then followed but then irony struck in March – injury, and a bad one at that.
