"Lady Marmalade" is one of the songs used during the Can Can scene from Moulin Rouge! Portions of the chorus were sung by the dancers in the film. In real life, Christina Aguliera, Li'l Kim, Mya, and P!nk sang it on the soundtrack, where it was the second of fifteen songs (between the first version of " Nature Boy " and " Because We Can ").
The Can Can scene was the first dance sequence in Moulin Rouge! It featured the Diamond Dogs and Harold Zidler dancing and singing a combination of the songs "Lady Marmalade", "Because We Can", "Zidler's Rap", and "Smells Like Teen Spirit". There is an extended version of this part of the film...
