Suellyn Lyon (July 10, 1946 – December 26, 2019) was an American actress who is most famous today for playing Vladimir Nabokov's Lolita in Stanley Kubrick's 1962 film adaptation of Nabokov's eponymous novel, for which she was awarded a Golden Globe.
Suellyn Lyon, conocida artísticamente como Sue Lyon (Davenport, Iowa, 10 de julio de 1946-Los Ángeles, California, 26 de diciembre de 2019), [1] fue una actriz estadounidense conocida por su interpretación en la película Lolita (1962) de Stanley Kubrick.
La película sigue a Humbert Humbert, un profesor de literatura de mediana edad que se obsesiona sexualmente de Dolores Haze (apodada "Lolita"), apenas una adolescente. Está protagonizada por James Mason, Shelley Winters, Peter Sellers y, como personaje titular, Sue Lyon.

Director Stanley Kubrick saw Sue on the show and suggested to his partner that they should see her for the role of Lolita (1962). She was signed by the Glenn Shaw agency, and Pat Holmes, an agent, brought her down to Kubrick for audition, and won the part of Lolita.

It stars James Mason as Humbert, Shelley Winters as Mrs. Haze, Peter Sellers as Quilty, and Sue Lyon (in her film debut) as Dolores "Lolita" Haze. The novel was considered "unfilmable" when Kubrick acquired the rights around the time of its U.S. publication.
