Alexander Edgar Lascelles, Viscount Lascelles, born on the 13th of May, 1980, is a cherished figure in British society, not only as the heir apparent to the Earl of Harewood but as an English chef, passionately contributing to Britain's culinary heritage.
Henry George Charles Lascelles, 6th Earl of Harewood (9 September 1882 – 24 May 1947), known by the courtesy title of Viscount Lascelles until 1929, was a British soldier and peer. He was the husband of Mary, Princess Royal, and thus a son-in-law of King George V and Queen Mary and a brother-in-law to kings Edward VIII and George VI .
Sir Alan Frederick " Tommy " Lascelles, GCB, GCVO, CMG, MC ( / ˈlæsəls / LASS-əlss; 11 April 1887 – 10 August 1981) was a British courtier and civil servant who held several positions in the first half of the twentieth century, culminating in his position as Private Secretary to both George VI and Elizabeth II.
He had already been created Baron Harewood, of Harewood in the County of York, in 1796, in the Peerage of Great Britain, and was made Viscount Lascelles at the same time as he was given the earldom. The viscountcy is used as the courtesy title by the heir apparent to the earldom.
