He was the father of William Petty FitzMaurice, Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1782 to 1783.

Hon. William FitzMaurice and Deborah Brookes, on 16 February 1734.2 He died on 14 May 1761.2 He was buried at Borwood, Wiltshire, EnglandG.2.
