When John De Lacy 2nd Earl of Lincoln was born about 1192, in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England, his father, Roger De Lacy 6th Baron of Pontefract, was 23 and his mother, Matilda de Clere, was 31. He married Alice de l'Aigle in 1214, in Pontefract, Yorkshire, England.
