Rheinsberg ( German: [ˈʁaɪnsbɛʁk] ⓘ) is a town and a municipality in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district, in Brandenburg, Germany. It is located on lake Grienericksee[ de ] and the river Rhin, approximately 20 km (12 mi) north-east of Neuruppin and 75 km (47 mi) north-west of Berlin .
Rheinsberg ( plattdeutsch: Rhinsbarg) ist eine Stadt im Landkreis Ostprignitz-Ruppin in Brandenburg, gelegen am Rhin, einem Nebenfluss der Havel. Die Kernstadt mit den Ortsteilen Kleinzerlang und Flecken Zechlin trägt das Prädikat Staatlich anerkannter Erholungsort.
During East German times, the palace housed a diabetes clinic. Today the palace and its gardens belong to the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg. After lengthy and extensive restoration, the palace is now a museum and home to the Kurt Tucholsky Literature Museum.

Schloss Rheinsberg liegt in der Gemeinde Rheinsberg, etwa 100 km nordwestlich von Berlin im Landkreis Ostprignitz-Ruppin. Das am Ostufer des Grienericksees gelegene Schloss gilt als Musterbeispiel des sogenannten Friderizianischen Rokokos und diente auch als Vorbild für Schloss Sanssouci .
