Rixa of Werle (died 26 November 1317) was the only daughter of Lord Henry I of Werle and his wife Rikissa Birgersdotter. Rikissa was a daughter of Birger Jarl and his first wife Ingeborg. Rixa of Werle married on 10 January 1284 with Duke Albert II, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg .
Rikissa Birgersdotter, also known as Rixa, Richeza, Richilda and Regitze, (c. 1237 – after 1288) was Queen of Norway as the wife of the co-king Haakon Haakonson, and later Princess of Werle as wife of Henry I, Prince of Mecklenburg-Güstrow.
Biography. Rixa von Werle was the daughter of Heinrich von Werle, Lord of Werle-Güstrow, and his first wife Rikissa Birgersdatter (daughter of Birger Magnusson, Regent of Sweden) [1]. She was probably born between 1262 and 1270 (her parents married in 1262, and Rixa herself married in 1284) [2] .
