Robert Rietti, OMRI (born Lucio Herbert Rietti; sometimes Rietty, 8 February 1923 – 3 April 2015), was an English actor, translator, playwright, and dubbing director. With over 200 credits to his name, he had a highly prolific career in the British, American, and Italian entertainment industries.

Robert is the founder and editor of “Gambit”, a British Drama Quarterly. He has translated many plays from Italian and is at present embarked on publishing the entire works of Luigi Pirandello into English for Alma Books.
After a long and eventful life, actor, director, and talented dubber, Robert Rietti, died at the venerable age of 92 on May 3rd in London. The son of an Italian actor, Rietti began acting himself very early on, when he was only 8 years old, but his greatest contribution was as the film industry’s go-to voice.
