Barbara Robertson is an American actress and singer. She plays the role of "Jan the Unnamed" for the American Theatre Company's Pre-Broadway Chicago production of "Yeast Nation". Recently [when?] she played the role of Mame at the Drury Lane Theatre.
Most of our visitors to Compass Gallery in the past 40 years will know the work of Barbara Robertson, especially her remarkably finely detailed linocuts. In honour of her life’s work, we are presenting a solo exhibition with the complete range of her creativity and skill.
Barbara Robertson (1945–2018) Printmaker, illustrator and teacher, born in Broughty Ferry, Angus. She attended Blairgowrie High School, then studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, 1965–71, her teachers including Józef Se¸kalski.

4 de feb. de 2021 · Robertson was a superb printmaker, sensitive, observant, full of humour and wonderfully skilled, creating technically sophisticated, complex lino-cuts. She had a marvellous visual imagination and a mischievous wit, beautifully expressed in her exceptional prints.
22 de ago. de 2018 · BARBARA ROBERTSON (Babs) sadly died this month, just days short of her 73rd birthday. Barbara was a superb printmaker, sensitive, observant, full of humour and wonderfully skilled. She was also warm, generous and great company.
