Mahershala Ali (de nombre real Mahershalalhashbaz Gilmore) es un actor y músico estadounidense, hijo de Philip Gilmore y de Willicia Gilmore. En su juventud destacó jugando a baloncesto, llegando a ganar una beca para cursar estudios en el St. Mary’s College de California, centro del que se graduó en 1996 en “comunicación de masas”.
