Sir Victor Alexander Haden Horsley FRS FRCS (14 April 1857 – 16 July 1916) was a British scientist and professor. [1] He was born in Kensington, London.
Conocido en el ámbito neuroquirúrgico como Victor Horsley (1857-1916), nació en Londres . Perteneciente a la aristocracia artística, su padre (John Callcot Horsley) era pintor y, según se dice, fue el que inventó en 1843 las tarjetas navideñas de felicitación.
A tireless scientist, he was a significant player in discovering the cure for myxedema, the eradication of rabies from England, and the invention of the Horsley-Clarke stereotactic frame. As a pathologist, Horsley performed research on bacteria and edema and founded the Journal of Pathology.
