ENTRANCE and exit kiosks were constructed by the IRT, or Interborough Rapid Transit (today’s numbered subway lines) for its original 28 stations from City Hall north to 145th Street along Elm (now Lafayette Street) 4th/Park Avenue South, 42nd Street and Broadway.

6 de jul. de 2022 · The entrances are in the original portion of the station. The uptown platforms single entrance consist of a replica ornate iron and glass kiosk at the triangle formed by the end of the Bowery at Lafayette Street and Astor Place.
25 de may. de 2008 · There is a reproduction of an IRT entry kiosk on the street level over the northbound entrance. There was an underpass between the uptown and downtown sides, but it was closed and covered up in the 1980s renovation.
