George Sherman (* 14. Juli 1908 in New York City; † 15. März 1991 in Los Angeles) war ein US-amerikanischer Filmregisseur. Sherman erlangte vor allem für seine im klassischen Hollywood gedrehten Western und Abenteuerfilme Bekanntheit. Er drehte mit bekannten Schauspielern wie John Wayne, Errol Flynn, Anthony Quinn und Rock Hudson.
American second feature director George Sherman arrived in California aboard the SS Mongolia (bound from New York City, where he was born), on which he served as a bellboy. He began his career in the movie business in the mail room at Warner Brothers before working his way up to assistant director.
