Henrietta Ponsonby, Countess of Bessborough (16 June 1761 – 11 November 1821), born Lady Henrietta Frances Spencer (generally called Harriet ), was the wife of Frederick Ponsonby, 3rd Earl of Bessborough; the couple were the parents of Lady Caroline Lamb.

Henrietta Ponsonby, Countess of Bessborough (1761 – 1821) Henrietta Frances Spencer (Harriet) later Countess of Bessborough, was born at Wimbledon in Surrey on 16 June 1761. Her father, John Spencer, first Earl Spencer, was a descendant of the first Duke of Marlborough and her mother was Margaret Georgiana Poyntz .
Prior to marrying Lady Harriet Cavendish in 1809, Granville was the lover of Lady Harriet's maternal aunt, Henrietta Ponsonby, Countess of Bessborough, née Lady Henrietta Frances Spencer, with whom he fathered two illegitimate children: Harriette Stewart and George Stewart.
