5 de oct. de 2022 · 47 th – Taj Mahal in Agra, India The Taj Mahal is an embodiment of love, a marble mausoleum built by a 17th century shah for his late wife. When Bond came to India in “Octopussy” he flew by the Taj Mahal near Agra – though his place of action, Udaipur, is almost 600 kilometers away.
After visiting the magnificent Taj Mahal we visited the Red Fort of Agra where we found our first Octopussy location. At the highest point of the fort there is a terrace that offers a sweeping view across the river to the Taj Mahal beyond. It was from this point that the shots of the Taj Mahal were taken when Bond initially arrives in India.
Bond decides to tail Kamal to ‘Delhi’, but the geography goes a bit wonky here as his ‘copter is seen taking the picturesque route past the Taj Mahal in Agra (presumably to signal India), before touching down several hundred miles away on the northern tip of Lake Pichola in Udaipur.
