A Beautiful Mind is a 2001 American biographical drama film about the mathematician John Nash, a Nobel Laureate in Economics, played by Russell Crowe. The film is directed by Ron Howard based on a screenplay by Akiva Goldsman, who adapted the 1998 biography by Sylvia Nasar.

Basada en la novela homónima de Sylvia Nasar, que fue candidata al Premio Pulitzer en 1998, cuenta la vida de John Forbes Nash, ganador del Premio Nobel de Economía en 1994.
Obsesionado con la búsqueda de una idea matemática original, el brillante estudiante John Forbes Nash llega a Princeton para realizar sus estudios de postgrado. Es un muchacho extraño y solitario, al que sólo comprende su compañero de cuarto. Por fin, Nash esboza una revolucionaria teoría y consigue una plaza de profesor en el MIT.

John Nash (Russell Crowe) arrives at Princeton University as a new graduate student. He is a recipient of the prestigious Carnegie Prize for mathematics.
