This 1977 Chevrolet Monte Carlo is finished in a Petty Blue and Day-Glo Red livery to honor the racing career of Richard Petty. The car was acquired by the seller’s late father in the early 2000s and inherited by the seller in 2019.

The team fitted the ’76 Monte Carlo with a GM LS3 V8. And, to keep the look closer to the original, the fuel injection intake manifold was made to resemble a Holley carburetor. From the early 1970s until the car’s end of production in 1988, the Chevrolet Monte Carlo campaigned in NASCAR racing. Richard Petty’s Dodge and Plymouths dominated the early ’70s until Cale Yarborough brought his Monte Carlos to three-straight Championships (1976-1978) in the Winston Cup.
