Spencer Perceval had died with comparatively little in the bank, so Parliament granted his children £50,000.00 from the public purse, with extra allowances for his wife and oldest son. Perceval was mourned by many as a hardworking man of principle.

Vida y Biografía de Spencer Perceval. (Londres, 1762- id., 1812) Político británico. Diputado desde 1796, apoyó la política de Pitt. En 1807-1809 fue canciller de Exchequer y, desde 1809 hasta su muerte, presidente pese al poco acompañamiento parlamentario.
