Henry Richard Vassall Fox, 3rd Baron Holland was a British Whig politician, associate of the party leader and reorganizer Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey, and nephew and disciple of the statesman Charles James Fox, whose libertarian political ideas he expounded in the House of Lords.

Poet, translator, and politician. Educated at Christ Church, Oxford. Succeeded to the title of 3rd Baron Holland on his father’s death in 1774. Travelled through Spain and Italy after graduating. Met Elizabeth Vassall, wife of Sir Godfrey Webster in Naples, and married on 6 July 1795.
