Mayagüez ( Sitio Grande de Aguas en lenguaje taíno) 1 es un municipio costero ubicado en la costa oeste del Estado Libre Asociado de Puerto Rico. Limita por el norte con Añasco y Las Marías; con Cabo Rojo, Hormigueros y San Germán por el sur; con el canal de la Mona por el oeste y con Las Marías y Maricao por el este.
